We are pleased to present our Mexican home called "Tropical Dreams" (Los Suenos del Tropico) situated on the beautiful Pacific Coast of Riviera Nayarit. Our location is ideal for vacationers and 'snow birds' who love both the ocean, and gorgeous mountain views. Tropical Dreams is located 60KM north of the Puerto Vallarta Airport on the Pacific Coast and surrounded by lush palm, ocean and tropical hardwood forests.

Our home is located on the lower mountainside with three separate levels. The top floor is called the "Mirador" or lookout as it is open to all sides, covered by a colourful roof. From the Mirador, you can see the blue Pacific ocean, while seated comfortably on the outdoor sofa, or gently swinging in your "Hammock for Two". The main level contains the host living area also with a balcony, providing suitable shade to the lower Guest level. The lower Guest level hosts parking for two vehicles as well as the kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and livingroom areas with sliding doors accessing a large patio. The entire home enjoys fresh tropical breezes all day long and breath-taking mountain, forest and ocean views. Enjoy the security of our gated community while you sunbathe next to the large swimming pool.

Los Ayala is a typical Mexican fishing village but it is also gaining popularity with tourists as one of the best beaches in the area. The sand is firm to walk on and the water is shallow at the shore. This makes it ideal for children and older adults. You must walk a good distance out into the water to 'catch the waves'. The beach has cliffs on both sides and is protected from the wild winds that hit other areas due to the north facing beachfront, and the promontory of Punta Raza to the west.

Los Ayala is also a favourite holiday village for Mexicans from as far away as Mexico City. Tourists from Canada, United States and Europe have also discovered this beautiful beach gem and are frequent visitors. You will hear many different spoken languages simply walking the beach.

The local village provides for a true taste of the area. Groceries can be purchased including milk, bread, fresh fruits and vegetables. Fisherman sell their fresh fish, shrimp, calamari and oysters right on the beach. Or if dining is your style enjoy the local cuisine from excellent restaurants, internet cafes and purchase souvenirs.

Should you wish to venture into the larger neighbouring towns such as Rincon de Guayabitos or La Penita, you can take a short taxi ride or local combi bus. La Penita is the local market town which hosts a weekly market day where people visit from neighbouring villages and towns. There are many restaurants, grocery stores and the Bancomer Bank.

For those visitors who prefer the big city, Puerto Vallarta is only an hour drive south on highway 200, along the coastal drive of the panamerican highway. Large and comfortable air-conditioned buses depart La Penita to Puerto Vallarta on a regular daily basis. In Puerto Vallarta, you can expect the usual 'big box' stores such as Walmart, Home Depot and Costco. If you have a craving for fast food, McDonalds, Burger King and various franchise restaurants are available. The city also offers a most interesting and pleasant board walk (Malecon) filled with statues, live entertainment and outdoor dining. If culture and history is of interest there is plenty to see and experience.

Your Tropical Dreams await you in Los Ayala, Nayarit Mexico.
